How this educational and clinical-reference website handles information.
No patient information
Airway of the Month is not an electronic health record, clinical documentation system, patient portal, or HIPAA clinical service. Do not enter, upload, email, or otherwise transmit names, medical-record numbers, dates of birth, encounter dates, room numbers, identifiable images, or other protected health information through this website.
Information this website may process
The site may receive ordinary technical information associated with a web request, such as page URL, browser type, device category, approximate region, and performance measurements. Cloudflare Web Analytics may be used to understand aggregate traffic and performance. Airway of the Month does not intentionally use these data to create patient records or provide patient-specific clinical services.
Local browser data
Selected educational features may use local browser storage to remember nonclinical display preferences or no-PHI teaching content. Local storage remains on the device unless the user clears it or the browser removes it. Do not enter patient identifiers into local teaching forms or orientation exercises.
External media and links
Panopto, Google Drive, X, and other linked or embedded services are controlled by their respective providers and may apply their own privacy practices, cookies, authentication, and logs. Review the external provider’s policies before use.
Email and contact information
Email sent to the project is processed through the sender’s and recipient’s email systems. Do not include PHI. Website-content and accessibility concerns may be sent to Dr. Kyle Brown. Concerns that a patient identifier may appear in an airway video should be sent directly to Dr. Andrew Pirotte.
