Hypoxia: obstruction

Tube obstruction and bronchospasm are common and fixable.

Look for

  • Kink, biting, small ETT, mucus plug, blood, vomit, secretions.
  • Bronchospasm/asthma/COPD.
  • Suction catheter should pass; inability to pass suggests obstruction or kink.
