Apnea alarm: circuit problem

The ventilator may not be sensing or delivering a breath because of circuit/tube failure.

Open low volume/disconnectLeak or circuit branch.Tube/circuit rescueIf oxygenation fails.

Check

  • Circuit connection, ETT connection, filter/HME, oxygen source, cuff, and tube position.
  • Bag if unstable.
