The ranges above reflect commonly published nine-zone systems: Gray 3–5 kg, Pink 6–7 kg, Red 8–9 kg, Purple 10–11 kg, Yellow 12–14 kg, White 15–18 kg, Blue 19–23 kg, Orange 24–29 kg, and Green 30–36 kg. Tape editions and local systems may differ.

How to use this reference appropriately

• Use a current institution-approved length-based tool to assign the color at the child’s heel; the static weight bands shown here do not assign a patient’s zone.
• Use measured weight in kilograms when available for medication and energy calculations, according to the current institutional pediatric reference.
• Verify the exact tape edition, local equipment cart, device manufacturer, medication concentration, and current PALS policy.
• Do not reproduce or infer exact medication, equipment, or electrical-therapy values from this page.
