Adjustment ideas
- Lower RR when clinically acceptable.
- Lower VT if appropriate.
- Increase inspiratory flow / shorten inspiratory time.
- Use square wave in obstructive physiology when appropriate.
- Treat bronchospasm and suction obstruction.
Vent control
The fix is usually more expiratory time, not more rate.
